Back in 1988 a child played hours of this game on his Amiga 500, connected to a Sanyo CRT TV made sometime in the early 70's. He used to pretend that along with the ship's cargo he was also sending Tintin, Captain Haddock, and Snowy on many adventures around the world (Herge's Tintin books often involve traveling via cargo ships). The classic Port of Call game returns for modern PC's. It runs great in a window on my win10 PC. It plays and sounds just like I remember a long long time ago. There are 11 translations included as well. A very nice feature. Please be aware that not everything is translated. Some of the text and menu options still show up in English. Classic trading and shipping simulation. I do not think the next generation would be interested in this game, but it sure strucks a chord with us Amiga500 owners who played this game in the 90s. The game working (Win11) and being exactly I remember it, is enough recommendation for old-timers with an itch for nostalgia.

Yes, I played it on the Amiga 500 back in the day. And yes, I still find it addictive in its RNG and simplicity. I guess it could be considered some kind of archetypical business simulation today. But, alongside Oil imperium and also Pirates!, you have these moments of action where you have to get your hands dirty and do the practical work yourself. It's a good balance. I played this game when it released in the 80s. Had no idea what i was doing but utterly fell in love with its aesthetic, (visual and sound) mechanics and design. Pretty sure i pirated it.
