A PSA for anyone looking to try this. Once you reach the end, the game auto closes and without forewarning opens your browser to the developers website. Luckily I use Noscript so the page did not load. Now, I'm not saying the developer has malicious intent, but lets be real here for all intents and purposes the game is hijacking your browser so you may want to pass on this if you find that questionable. Not bad for a free game. This was a short and sweet game with no jump scares that relied heavily on atmosphere. There were moments where I was reminded of the psychedelic art found in Layers of Fear. I enjoyed the game. Only complaint is the sound at the end of the game was too intense for me. I had to turn my headset almost all the way down. I really loved this game. If you get the chance, download it. It has absolutely no jump scares but pure horror. If I had been playing this in VR I would have a heart attack and I'm only 13.

This was a god awful waste of time. "Don't trust random games you find off the internet..." Indeed. Shut itself down and opened a page in my web browser, then wouldn't actually stop itself. Had to restart steam in order to stop the game and remove it from my computer. 0/10 — Would not recommend.

Warning: Dangerous/Unsafe software. "The Paperman" is a rather suspicious "adventure" game that eschews the usual jumpscares you find in asset flips to do something much more sinister, as this hijacks your web browser and takes you to a specific site on the internet. I like this game through it's many problems. first lets talk where the game is amazing: it's atmosphere, graphics, and story telling. I loved every bit of each of these. However there were a little things I found that didn't really work. the first act with the camera is neat but is thrown away very quickly. the whole reason that the story furthers after that is a little dumb. More of a trashy horror game. The idea behind it was actually quite good, but unfortunately it wasn’t really well executed. There were a few unsettling moments, but overall it was pretty disappointing. Still, since it’s a free horror game, it might be worth trying out at least once.
