Early Access Update - Build 660

2020-07-02

Hi everyone, We have a small update for you that fixes some issues found in the last update. We would love to hear what you think. Be sure to pop by our Discord server. Below you can view a list of everything that was changed and fixed: General • Added Discord integration. • Added mouse options to the keybindings menu. • Added movement key bindings to the keybindings menu. • Improved keybindings menu style. • Reduced the size of the game on disk. Gameplay • AI will now also follow players while they are in the air after, for example, jumping off a ledge. Bug fixes • Improved speed of loading the leaderboard in the victory screen. • Improved network performance. • Fixed issue where enemy death animation wasn’t always playing on clients.

Honestly, given that it is a student project and also free, it's actually decent enough. I played it with some friends for two rounds, we spend around half an hour in it and had a pretty good time all things considered. The basic gameplay, like shooting and movement, works okay. So does the level design. It obviously still needs a good amount of polish, for example I would like a bit more feedback while shooting...

Nice game, a lot of zombie-survival vibes but with random objectives to switch things up. Good game for LAN parties.

Lovely P.A.I.N.T game FPS needs optimization. Seems to have motion blur on. When you get through the tutorial or kill 100 in zone near the end it drops to 30 fps. It starts with 62 fps. Using graphics settings on EPIC as default. I even changed the graphics setting and it doesn't make a difference. No, lobby to find matches for? :( Great concept :)

Really neat game to play with your friends. Really shows the dedication and passion of the developers. Definitely has a bright future.
