terrible mission design, aging controls, & braindead AI made this game almost as hard as 100%ing Elden Ring but damn man, in that serendipitous moment when Billie Jean starts playing on the radio as you're trying to save Lance Vance Dance for the 200th time you finally feel that rush... that VIBE that just maybe makes this ♥♥♥♥ all worth it vice city baby

This game still slaps in 2026. I completed it 100% and absolutely loved it. The vibe here is completely different from GTA III, and the game tries to make things more fun and playful, rather than dark and serious. The city has a great vibe. it's more alive, there are more things to do, and the map is perfectly sized. The missions, especially towards the end of the game, were quite repetitive tho. 80% of the late...

still good after all these years. hot take: gta san andreas has the better open world and gameplay but this game has the better vibes and setting.

At the time of this game's release, it was set 16 years in the past. The game itself turned 16 years old in 2018, which is already a long time ago and only getting further away. Before long even that date itself will be as old as Vice City's setting was to its release. Oh yeah and the game itself is decent as well.

play it in 4:3 you cowards. And yeah, I had to patch that horizontal-vertical mouse issue. besides that i had a great time replaying.

Awesome game, i recommand it, even though planes have garbage controls, you will get used to it :) Pro Tip: Numpad + Wasd.

A great improvement. The story matters more because of Ray Liottas performance. Missions are more unique and fun (with a few exceptions). Quality of Life updates like taxis taking you back to missions after death and multiple purchasable properties with save points. Great visual style. Absolute BANGER soundtrack. It would be perfect if the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ business pre-requisites for the final missions weren't a thing.

It does not work on Windows 11. You have to spend $60 on the definitive edition if you want it to run on your modern PC. I tried every fix, trick, mod, and what ever Windows settings I could get my paws on. It just does not work for Windows 11. Do not buy this game in 2026, until the devs fix it, or GOG puts it out.
