Finished this on my Steam Deck in one day. Still one of the best games/story after all these years. Gameplay still rules, the facial expressions still kill me, and I love getting one shot by enemies. Yes, there is a workaround you may need to get it running, however it's not that difficult like some reviews/comments state. Once you get it running, let the nostalgia hit you and feel the Payne. They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation mark on everything that had led to this point. I released my finger from the trigger, and it was over.

Straight peak. Incredible storytelling, the graphic novel style oozes personality especially when paired with James McCaffrey's (RIP) delivery and the insane one liners. The gameplay is responsive and tight and the world is much more interactive and reactive than I expected, a stray bullet could cause all manner of chaos. The FixPack mod is required, did not run without it. Absolutely fantastic

Max Payne is the game that put Remedy Entertainment on the gaming map. Max Payne is one of the all time iconic game trilogies, and for very good reason. The first game in the series certainly is important, not only for paving the way for the future Max Payne games, but for Remedy as a whole. One of my favorite games of all time, holds up great to this day. A lot of players have issues with cutscenes or audio bugs but there is plenty of mods to fix them

Doesn't even run without a bunch of 3rd party patches and tweaks. It should be illegal to sell products in this state. Avoid, even on sale.
