Hello Detectives! We hope you and your loved ones are doing well as we barrel through 2021 at an alarming pace. We're so unbelievably grateful for your continued support of Chinatown Detective Agency, and our team who are working so hard every day to bring you the best detective adventure we can. ❤ Today, we've got exciting news for you - whilst we did not intend to update the Prologue further after the last one, we have made significant changes to the game since then and also discovered a game breaking bug that we felt deserved an update. The changes are as follows: • Fixed a major bug where it was not possible to submit a search term at the library reception in mission 1. • Fixed a similar bug that prevented players from inputting the origin of stamps when prompted in mission 2. • Fixed an inconsistent crash issue when players try to fly to different cities.

• No rest for the wicked - completely removed the endurance feature of the game. • We’ve now added phone contacts (this doesn’t come into play until after the Prologue missions in the main game, but you can ring all your favourite friends to get a busy line! 😁) • Fixed a few minor graphical errors • Added in new animations for Amira • Added a new saving feature, meaning that prologue saves will now work with the full game when it is released - this means if you’ve played the prologue, you will not have to play the first few missions again when the full game is released. Hurray! *In April you may have seen this Steam update posted, that was meant for our eyes only and was a mistake on our part. Apologies for the confusion, but the V1.3 update really IS live now!* This should be the last update to the Prologue whilst we focus on finishing up the main game. We are close to wrapping up all of the Rupert and Keeran missions, and are starting work on the Tiger Lily and final main missions of the game soon. We thank you for your patience and look forward to when you can all play the full game! Here, using "real-world detective skills to ... solve cases" is a euphemism for googling geography trivia to progress a linear story. Without a save game option I decided immediately not to play further and cannot recommend it. This is such a basic thing to have in a game that I cannot change my review to positive without being able to save my progress.

A really substantial free demo! Several interesting cases, lots of local history to explore and some genuine urgency in places. Love the characters and setting too. Well worth your time, I'm looking forward to the full game so much! Instant wishlist.
