Perfect example of a developer innovating without ruining the formula that made the original great. Any criticism i have of the game (and i do have one or two) are nitpicks. 5 stars.

Truly a great RTS experience. So much fun to role play the different civs and have what if scenarios if they had fought. Audio quality is extremely good and immersive especially with the voice lines that change with the ages. Cant wait for more civs and to keep playing for years. 10/10

Its a fun game to play. But the subscription model is bad. I paid 40$ to play six campaigns. Then I have to pay more money to play more. Age of Empires Two offers several dozen campaigns for the base price. When did creating a product become about making millions? Fire your marketing/accounting staff and give your customers what they want. I dont care what some person who has a degree and zero life...

Great game, bit of nostalgia but I think I have most definitely spent more time on it now then in the past. I mostly play online and besides Ranked that is a lot of fun. I think the DLCs are good value for money and there some cool historic battles to relive.

6/10 The campaign is decent. The documentary videos are fun to watch. I only play single player, so my review is based on that. Graphics are okay, but maps feel empty compared to AoE2. Some of the biomes are pretty nice. Civs are fairly unique, but the new variant civs often feel like mere a cashgrab.
