This is only season one so the story is incomplete. That is not a problem, Lots of games do that. However, most games don't do this: On the Steam page for season 2 is this notice: "Notice: Dexter Stardust: Returns to Outer Space requires a controller in order to play. Unfinished story. It's not made clear on the store page, and I wouldn't have bought it otherwise, not yet. Fortunately, this chapter (itself split into episodes, because reasons) is self-sufficient. This looked like a too easy point and click, started like a too easy point and click... but kept me playing and ended satisfying. Maybe take a look at he first minutes on some video platform to see if you might like it. I sure did! One word of warning though: If you're sucked into it and want to know how the story of Dexter Stardust carries on, you'll be playing a platformer next... I got the game for free to test...

Ok, this is definitely not my favorite adventure game. I found it tedious at times, it had unnecessarily long cutscenes, too much handholding (seriously, hints were ALL over), unnecessary backtracking, not-that-great voice acting, awkward and at times very lazy fourth-wall breaking, and all-over-the-place pacing (along with a quite weird subdivision of the game into chapters with widely different lengths). It's exactly how a point & click adventure should be. It has an engaging story and memorable characters. I think the third episode is the best episode by far. It has zero bugs and it's quite cheap. Can't say that the puzzles are of a notable difficulty. I love the intro and the catchy music. Great job, developers! I can't wait for the next season, so please keep it up.
