If you like puzzle exploration games, the Meridian 157 trilogy checks all the boxes. It is how puzzle exploration games should be. No jump scares, no blathering dialog, a good hint system if needed, and just plain fun. You can exit the game whenever you want and start up exactly where you left off, you don't even have to deal with a save game list. The camera for photographing clues is great. I had quit playing games for several years, came across Meridian 157 thinking I can do this. I absolutely loved the game, loved the graphics and am happy to say I finished it. I started the game at 79 yrs. old, had a birthday this past week, so, I finished it at 80. lol This game was VERY difficult for me but I loved it and would recommend it!

This is a very good puzzle series. The graphics, music, and story are really good. But I'm not going to recommend the game because the developers don't respond to issues posted by players on the discussion board. The meridian series has a problem with playing the in game cut scenes on Linux computers as well as the brand new Steam Machine. If they would fix this issue, or at least respond on the discussion board,...

The game is ok as a point and click adventure, the downside is that there is no logical sequence to the puzzles which the player has to solve along the way. The hints to the puzzles are mostly found within the existing scenes of the game itself, e.g. solution to a lock is found hinted on a poster on the wall, or scattered cards on the table....which if you stop and think, does not make sense. Even an important tool...

i just finished meridian 157 and honestly i loved it! the puzzles were awesome but the best part for me was the atmosphere, it was awesome i cannot wait for more. Also love that it is also available on ios so i can play on my ipad as well.

Do I recommend this overall? Yes, as long as you do not pick Hard mode. (I'm glad they realized they need a toggle between Hard and Normal for their next game series) Getting stuck on puzzles in this chapter was annoying because the items that you need to compile for the weighing machine are also the items you need to solve other puzzles. What an amazing game! Just like Chapters 1 and 2, the mystery and suspense were top-notch. The puzzles were mostly logical and intuitive, with just the right amount of challenge. I especially loved the sci-fi vibe and the gritty, industrial design of the facility.
