this is great, i love the story even tho i understood almost nothing i love that timeloop thingthis was really fun im glad that they skipped a few parts in the later acts so it doesnt get repetitive

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is a pretty fun game, especially if you liked the original Alan Wake. I enjoyed the mix of shooting, exploring, and the creepy atmosphere. game made me light headed. Honestly the gameplay is better then Alan Wake 1 but the story was not the main focus. The reused levels with barely changed objectives also just made the game unbearable. play it if you can get a discount or if you like shooters with a small twist.

Negative reviews are just unfair. The story and manuscripts add a lot of depth and detail to the events of Alan Wake 1. The gameplay and combat are improved in every possible way, making it fun and dynamic. The game never felt repetitive. Its subsequent loop is shorter than the previous one, and it adds new dialogue. A fantastic expansion to Alan Wake 1.

While the gameplay isn't bad and the combat (especially dodging) was improved noticeably, however I can't recommend it. I loved Alan Wake 1 for the story, not combat, in American Nightmare we get improved combat but the story is almost non existent, and what we get is worse than the base game by miles, not sure what was the purpose behind creating the game, maybe kind of tech demo, not sure, because the combat is...

Pretty decent. Guns are better than the first game, but that's to be expected since this is a different playstyle. Story isn't strong here but I did like it. 6/10

This game feels so old. The previous one had its own dark style, but this one... it's just so old. It feels like Serious Sam, but without the fun.
