Played this after playing every Yakuza game and I gotta say, I now believe the Judgment truthers. This was so so so much fun, every character is lovable and cool, story was the best thriller I've seen in this franchise so far and the combat was nice! The detective vibes were immaculate and every investigation was intriguing. The finale was super elaborate and exciting too, just cannot think of anything but nonstop...

a very refreshing experience after multitude of Yakuza games for those, who like the playstyle and story telling of those games, but wishes for something that is a little different.

It's disappointing to see some of the most interesting top negative reviews. I've played every Yakuza game. Kiwami 1-3, Yakuza 1-8 and Pirate Yakuza. Does this game bring back some of the least liked mechanics like following/hiding, or just outright chases... ?? Yes. does this game do it worse than any of the others? absolutely not. In fact its all been an improvement. While this game does bring back fan-hated...

Judgement is amazing, It feels like an Yakuza game, but It is different at the same time Here are all the stuff I liked - Good old Kamurocho looks great in this version of the dragon engine, and Yagami can jump over stuff, so It is fun to explore - The plot is great, there are some fun small arcs that connect into a great mystery - Yagami is a great character, his gameplay and plot are some of the best in the Yakuza...

The ending is amazing, the game is good, however I wanted to appreciate the music more by not getting damage upgrades, which made the whole game (a fighting game) feel quite boring to me, and likely contributed to my feeling that Yagami is not as strong (which is true) or cool as someone like Kiryu. Not getting damage upgrades soured the game for me i think, so please buy those upgrades if you feel you are getting...

If you love the Yakuza franchise, I think you'll enjoy this side game as well. Same great gameplay, drama, and humor, but with a different protagonist that brings a different perspective to the typical stories told in Kamurocho. If you've never played a Yakuza game before, I think this is a good entry to the franchise, but might not be the first game I recommend you pick up. But if you enjoy this one, I think...
