All these years later, the FieldRunners series is probably my 2nd favorite tower defense series behind the amazing Defense Grid games. The Fieldrunners series are great fun. Not perfect. This game is super fun though does get really hard as you "Up" the difficulty. I first played this back in the day (older gamer here). It is still fun as the first day I ever played it. You can lose hours playing this. I also really love the strategic side of the game. Don't let the "cutsey" graphics fool you, it gets hard! Much like many other 'golden age' mobile games like Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies etc, here they've taken a decent commercially successful game and followed it up with an uninspired pile of garbage in a lazy cash grab under the same name. Achievements like "Play once a week, every week for 6 months" tell you everything you need to know about the clowns behind this.

Feels like 8 different tower-defense game themes thrown into a blender; the game UI feels random, not cohesive. I love TD games, but this was not enjoyable for me.

I didn't really care for the first Fieldrunners game, but the developers tweaked, streamlined and improved the game. I am really happy with the improvements. Its not just the same map with a different background. There is an actual campaign instead of just unlocking maps.
