Character Customization Update
2026-09-18Hey Nervs! It's been a while since our last update, and we appreciate you sticking with us! This release is the start of some bigger changes we've been working on for NervBox. Luau scripting for modders is on the way, along with more we'll be announcing soon. In the meantime, we've got a new look and some extra firepower for you to try out. Today we're bringing character customization to NervBox, expanding mod support to firearms, and giving the main menu some extra attention. Pick out a new look, find your next world, and see what the community has been cooking up! Make It Yours Character customization is here! Head to the Avatar page to mix and match hats, visor designs, and jacket patterns. You can also choose colors for your helmet, jacket, gloves, and pants, with a separate pattern color for designs that support it.

Whether you're putting together a coordinated outfit or seeing how ridiculous you can look, your choices are saved and other players can see your new look in multiplayer. We're excited to see what you come up with! More Firepower for Modders Modded firearms are joining the sandbox! Building on the existing support for props, maps, and melee weapons, creators can now bring their own guns to NervBox. Support for custom muzzle flashes, shell casings, and shell impact sounds lets you give those creations their own look and sound. We've also added support for modded guns with infinite ammo. If your next creation has no business needing a reload, we've got you covered. A Fresh Welcome The new Home page brings featured worlds and friends' lobbies together, making it easier to find somewhere to play. There's also a dedicated News page so you can catch up on NervBox updates from inside the game. Alongside the new pages, we've added menu animations and interaction sounds, updated the menu music, and improved performance when reopening menus. We've also cleaned up startup and loading behavior, including clearer connection errors and retry options. We've made some fixes out in the sandbox too, including improvements to player stability and how cosmetics fit your character. Read on for the details!
