Difficult in a way that has nothing to do with solving puzzles or navigating escape rooms made up of impossible geometry. This game... has these frequently appearing squares of text that interrupt you as you explore the map. You are forced to stop and read and absorb their meaning. This is the work of a genius, one of the best puzzle/logic/maze games ever made – somewhere on the level of The Talos Principle, and perhaps even surpassing it thanks to its minimalist simplicity. An incredible experience. And that feeling of Clarke-esque alienness and cosmic Zen! The metroidbrainia ancestor Antichamber is a game about philosophy and insanely creative puzzles. The game doesn't usually require you to spend 30 minutes stuck on a single puzzle, which is something that many puzzle games fail to avoid, and it's a huge advantage for this game. i have no clue what i just played. 10/10. best way i can describe this is the evil and 3D version of submachine, but that's not fully accurate.
