Played the first one, and then bought the second title, wanted to see how it would expand on the first title and what would be different. Solid game, I like the option of open world exploring with dungeons tied to it, and if I wanted to play the traditional dungeon diving, then I have the option. Not exactly a review, but a quick thumbs-up from me: Once Upon a Dungeon II is a nice traditional roguelike with a surprisingly great ambience (the mood of this game reminds me a bit of Diablo 1) and janky graphics that are kind of charming after you get used to it. I have played hundreds of games but I have never played a game with such movement and gameplay. It's something middle between turn-based & free movement. The graphics is awesome, the gameplay is very good but the game is super hard. Keep in mind that and start game on Easy (without permadeath of course, hehe) if you wanna survive. I recommend it, support indie devs!

Once Upon a Dungeon II is a traditional roguelike game it has options for difficulty as well as if you want Permadeath to be a thing. the graphics are adequate for the genre, the sound is also adequate. the rain and thunder stand out and sounded nice. A one-of-a-kind, turn-based roguelike game with so much to explore. Even though the gameplay isn't my cup of tea, I had a fun time exploring the world and dungeons. It can be overwhelming for beginners, but if you want to get better, you can try watching some tutorials on YouTube. The game isn't easy, but that's what defines an adventure, right?

Fun, unique little dungeon crawler with a charming and quirky art/sound style. There's a free demo, so give it a try! I put two hours into the demo just clearing the area around the starting camp and the first dungeon. The full game so far has a bunch more dungeons to work through. Already worth the $12, IMO. Interesting game with a lot of potential! It is still missing a lot of QoL features honestly but has depth to it and makes for a fun time. The art style is actually great for the genre and I'd recommend experimenting with the color settings, they really make a difference. I'm excited for the further development and hope that the target audience finds this game and its potential to become a real hidden indie-gem.

Once Upon a Dungeon II is a charming and unique adventure the art style is rather unique not my favorite but not terrible either the gameplay matters more to me its not like i bought and played games like caves of qud for the graphics. Its a nice little little dungeon crawler offers a refreshing experience for fans of the genre.
