Log chopping (click dragging) simulator An older mouse slasher (originally made for mobile). Jack Lumber is a mindless time waster where you draw lines to slash logs over and over again. It's a grind to get all of the achievements and I didn't consider it fun so I can not recommend it for that very reason. This game is all about enthusiastically endorsing ecoterrorism against trees because they wronged a granny. I have finally discovered the most noble cause in gaming history. REVENGE. Not against evil wizards. Not against space aliens. Not against ancient gods. TREES. Those oxygen-producing wooden freeloaders with their bark-covered bodies and leafy green hair. Why? Because one of them murdered Jack's granny....

Jack Lumber is basically Fruit Ninja with bullet time and a surprisingly charming backstory about avenging your granny's death at the hands of a sentient tree. The slow-motion mechanic is genuinely clever, and the pun-telling beaver you rescue early on got a real laugh out of me. A game like Jack Lumber was meant to be played on portable phones. Its gameplay is so shallow and its price so steep that I just can't recommend this to anyone, even if it is fun for sessions of 10 minutes. The graphics are clearly upscaled which results in the game occasionally having blurry graphics and the sounds are actually pathetic. Regrettably, I have to NOT recommend this game with one exception - those who have laptops with a touchscreen or a Microsoft Surface will likely have a significantly more enjoyable time with this Fruit Ninja clone than those who have to use a mouse. Being a Fruit Ninja variant, quick, precise swipes are necessary to maximize your score. As a result, in the more difficult levels a mouse simply will not do. This...

Rather s**** excuse for a mobile game on PC. Slash wooden logs using your mouse and see how they're chopped. Nothing more than you will get from a mobile game.

Surprisingly, this actually isn't a bad game. It definitely would be better in its original, portable touchscreen format rather than this port that relies on your mouse skills. Likely best on a touchscreen but fine with mouse or touchpad. Filled with puns and quirky humour. Easy to pick up but difficult to master, which can get frustrating.

My television is not a touchscreen. My computer is not a phone. This game is probably much more fun on those.
