Players could keep vehicles running almost entirely from barrels found while traveling. We want fuel management to gradually become a more meaningful part of the survival experience, where building your own refinery or finding other reliable sources of Biodiesel actually matters. Production Building Balancing We continue gathering feedback about the recently reworked production system and are already making balancing adjustments. Iron Sheet Production • Increased output from 1 to 4 Iron Sheets per production cycle • Increased input requirement from 10 to 20 Iron Scraps Metal Production Shack • Increased Iron Pipe output from 1 to 4 per production cycle Scrap Production • Reduced required workers from 3 to 1 • Reduced produced materials per cycle by approximately 60 percent This allows players to operate more production buildings with a smaller Grandshack population while keeping the overall material output under control. Bio-Diesel Makeshift Refinery • Increased production performance • Increased output capacity Building your own fuel infrastructure should now become a more meaningful alternative to relying on barrels scattered around the world. Trading • Ammo prices have been decreased by 20 to 50 percent depending on rarity • Vehicle parts are now more commonly accepted for sale by traders • Potato, Tomato, and Garlic can no longer be purchased from traders. Their buyout prices have been increased, and selling these crops will now always provide positive reputation gain. It is time to get rich the farmer way. Fixes and Optimization Storage Interaction • Fixed an issue where players could interrupt the storage opening interaction in a way that could allow access to that storage from anywhere Grandshack • Fixed an issue where resources stored inside the Grandshack could incorrectly drop after leaving and returning to the game In affected cases, resources could be reduced to approximately: • Water: 1 L / 0.26 US gal • Food: 300 kg / 661 lb Networking Important Memory Leak Fix We fixed a memory allocation leak that could affect servers during longer running sessions. This one also deserves a special community mention. Huge thanks to Haikyatto, who contacted us through Discord after noticing suspicious memory behavior while running his own Plains of Pain server. His initiative gave us useful additional information and pushed us to investigate the networking and server memory behavior more deeply. During that investigation, we eventually identified the actual source of the problem in a different part of the system and fixed it. So while the final cause was not exactly where the original suspicion pointed, Haikyatto’s determination to dig into the problem, collect information, and reach out to us definitely earned our respect. Servers should now run more smoothly during longer sessions. This is exactly the kind of community interaction we appreciate.
