If you liked the first game, you will like this one. No detective points are deducted for asking for a hint when all crucial clues have been discovered, unlike the first game, so that's an improvement. Unfortunately, this game also suffers from a very small song pool and clue color coding, the notepad still doesn't autoadjust lines, songs can still play three times back to back, there are no subtitles for audio...

tldr An excellent mystery game, but their English version has issues and lacks polish. If you liked the original CaseCracker, this is pretty much more of the same. Seems interesting, but you really can't make a game that relies on parsing / copying text and have localization that's this bad.

I really have enjoyed my time a lot with this series, and 2 here is no exception. UI and other quality-of-life improvements over the predecessor are quite nice. The English translation also feels better overall than the first game's, to this American English speaker; the occasional ambiguity in text seems more intentional this time around. The game is less good than the first one. For many reasons. Like the first one, you need to find clues outside the case you are invest in. So... it is difficult to find what you are looking for and to know than you need to search outside the box. There is also too many things happening at the same time. This is one of the BEST mystery games/series around, very underrated. If you like games like Orwell or Cyber Manhunt you will love this game.
