Gallipoli - Upcoming New Weapons & DLC
2026-09-24Hello everyone! Ali Al Muntar arrives in just a week’s time, on October 1st, so today we wanted to take a look at the four new weapons coming to Gallipoli for free, as well as the two premium cosmetic DLC Packs. We took an extensive look at Ali Al Muntar last week, but the Flyover just arrived! Check out the blog here and watch the Flyover: Without further ado, let’s get into the weapons and the DLC! Weapons Pattern 1914 Enfield Faced with the long-range capabilities of the Mauser 1893 and 1895 during the Second Boer War, the British were in need of a high-velocity, accurate rifle. The Pattern 1914 Enfield took the role of a sniper rifle, being more accurate than the standard issue SMLE. The bulky sights of the P14 Enfield made it easier to use at longer distances, but the rifle wasn’t equipped with telescopic sights until 1918.

In Gallipoli, the P14 Enfield currently features the longest range and highest handling stability of any British rifle, at the cost of stopping power and weight. It has a 5-round capacity, loaded in chargers (stripper clips). Available to the British Empire for the following kits: • Spotter: Observer Kit • Ammo Bearer: Quartermaster Kit • Rifleman: Combat Kit Winchester M1866 This Wild West-classic lever-action rifle was purchased by the Ottoman Empire in 1870 and 1871, and saw usage in the 1877 Russo-Turkish War. The Winchester M1866 was quite outdated by WW1, but its rugged construction and capacity made it a reliable option. It fires the .44 Henry handgun cartridge, which could also be fired by revolvers like the S&W No. 3 and Colt Single Action Army. The Winchester M1866 in Gallipoli is similar in power and range to a revolver, making it rather weak for a rifle. However, it makes up for this quite handsomely: it currently has the highest fire rate of any single-action rifle and a luxurious 14-round capacity. Available to the Ottoman Empire for the following kits: • Engineer: Saboteur Kit • Stretcher Bearer: Field Medicine Kit Charger-Loading Magazine Lee-Enfield MK.I* As the long-winded name implies, this is a Magazine Lee-Enfield MK.I* converted to load from chargers (stripper clips). This conversion removed the dust cover, fitted the charger guide, and updated the magazine as well as the front, rear & volley sights. Comparing the two versions in Gallipoli, the CLLE MK.I* has slightly higher effective range and lower weight, but slightly worse handling stability and stopping power. Of course, the CLLE MK.I* also loads with 5-round chargers instead of single rounds. Available to the British Empire for the following kits: • Engineer: Frontline Builder Kit • Heavy Machine Gunner: Carrier Kit Snider-Enfield The Snider-Enfield, or just Snider, was quite a relic by WW1. The action of this breech-loading rifle was invented by Jacob Snider, and was adopted by the British Army as a conversion for the Enfield Pattern 1853 to make the Snider-Enfield. In 1869, the Ottoman Empire began purchasing surplus (Enfield) muskets, to then convert them to the Snider action. These Snider rifles were the standard-issue rifle of the Ottomans at the start of the Russo-Turkish War. The Snider has the highest stopping power of any rifle currently in Gallipoli, even out-damaging the Peabody-Martini. This comes at a big cost however: it is also the slowest to fire at a measly 11 RPM, or one shot every 3-5 business days. You’ll always want to have cover nearby to retreat to after firing. Available to the Ottoman Empire for the following kits: • Spotter: Signaller Kit • Engineer: Frontline Builder Kit New Cosmetic DLC Two DLC packs release on October 1st, introducing a new subfaction each to the British Empire. If you already own the Second Expedition, these two packs will automatically be added to your library once they release. Both new subfactions are available to everyone for free, even if you don't own their respective DLC Packs. You won't unlock the new gear, but you can use select pieces of gear of the base game or some other DLC Packs. Khaki The Khaki Pack DLC introduces the (Queen’s Own) Royal West Kent subfaction. The Khaki Drill uniform was regularly issued to soldiers of the British Empire fighting in hot and tropical climates, and there were plenty of those to be found away from the Western Front. Members of the Royal West Kent regiment fought at Gallipoli and in Mesopotamia during the war. Several companies were besieged and captured at Kut al Amara in 1916. This DLC pack brings the regimental cap badge of the Royal West Kent regiment along with plenty of new uniform and equipment pieces for soldiers of the British Empire. Khaki Drill tunics and trousers are included, along with the rank of Major for officers. A Brodie helmet with neck curtain will help keep the sun off, along with different sets of Sam Browne webbing. Two new moustaches (the Marshall and the Gillman) are available along with a dashing set of desert goggles and an author’s pipe. Note that the Royal West Kent subfaction is for now only playable on Ali Al Muntar due to the inclusion of some late-war gear in the Khaki Pack DLC. However, the majority of cosmetic items included in the Khaki Pack DLC is available to other British subfactions as well. Black Watch The Black Watch Pack DLC introduces the Scottish Black Watch subfaction. The Black Watch of the Royal Regiment of Scotland are one of the most famous units within the British army and are particularly notable for the red hackle which adorns their Tam o' shanter caps. During the First World War they fought on multiple fronts, including Mesopotamia where members of the Black Watch participated in the Battle of Hanna in an attempt to relieve the Siege of Kut. This DLC pack introduces the Scottish Khaki Drill Frock for both regular soldiers and officers. Importantly (because we know what you’re really here for) two different kilts are also included - one with a sporran and one without. The Sola Topi helmet and the Glengarry are also both available as well as a hackle for the Wolseley helmet and the iconic Black Watch badge. New Sam Browne and Pattern 14 webbing and equipment formations give you additional options when going into battle. Moustaches (the Haig and Grierson) are available to all players along with a pair of classic pince-nez glasses and a Oom Paul Pipe. That's a lot of info about the Ali Al Muntar Expansion next week! Of course, work is continuing on network and technical improvements to the game. After all, the artists designing the maps and equipment are not the people making network improvements. Anyways, we'll see you again next week!
