Betrayer

Betrayer was a disappointment. I liked the weird B&W with red look, but the mechanics of the game sucked! The controls were so clunky making the game unenjoyable.

Quite funny, the reason I bought this game in 2015 was because around that time, I watched a theatre play called Betrayal by Harold Pinter and liked it. I like this game with its creepy atmosphere with these creepy monsters. I like this noir style where at first everything is black and white and then over time the game takes on colors. It reminds me of a similar game in the taco style where everything is black and white and then as you progress the game takes on colors.

This game is very intentional and beautiful. I thought it was a little too simple at first but the small skirmishes you have become a little bit harder over time and challenge you just the right amount. The extras are just enough to allow more game play but no disinterest. Highly recommend.

It's okay, but has a lot of crappy parts. Combat is a joke. It's supposed to be stealthy, but enemies spot you too easily. I never even understood how the stealth mechanic was supposed to work. I guess wind makes it so you can move without being detected, but honestly if you tried to stealth this game it would take forever. So instead it's just a matter of you living longer than the enemies. You'll end up cheesing...
