Fun game. I played it when it came out on the XBox 360, and I enjoyed it. A great trip down memory lane and still a lot of fun. I would recommend it

ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West is a surprisingly charming action-adventure that I ended up enjoying quite a bit. I remember trying to play this game on the Xbox 360 years ago and not really jiving with it, but it was one of the first games I installed on my Steam Deck and it just grabbed me once I started it up. The graphics still hold up, the combat was fun, and I enjoyed the story overall. It also worked flawlessly on the Deck. I would 100% recommend this game to anyone who enjoys action games.

Would leave a mixed review if I could. The first few areas are fantastic. Everything from the overgrown city to Trip's village is lovely art and the pacing is tight enough that combat and exploration don't drag during the opening sections. I can recommend getting this on a substantial sale and experiencing the opening few areas. Totally worthwhile. Beyond that, maybe just watch a walkthrough or headcanon your own...

I want to like this game, but the gameplay is terribly gaed, story is kinda interesting, but I had to watch it on youtube, because the game is literally unplayable. Traversal is just holding space, and fights are just button mashing. I get that this might have been a good game when it came out, but we had a bunch of better games after.

Great game that I never heard of until 15 years later. Runs great on steam deck, pretty much max settings. Can be set to 800p and has no problem running at 1080p if playing docked. The only issue I had was offline saves. Something about how this game stores save files makes steam cloud unable to find and sync save data. I played through a few chapters while offline, and usually steam cloud will automatically sync...

It's well made, the voice acting is good and there is a lot to admire but that ending is very dumb. Why do the mechs and people act that way if THAT is the ending?.....If that ending made sense then there would be no reason for hostility. Would have been nice if the game was half as long.

Great game with awesome characters. I was hooked from the start. Like other review say, the story probably carries the game, but I absolutely loved it when I played it on console years ago. I wish there would have been a sequel to this.
