I think many that level bad scores and a list of complaints at Mass Effect 2 have fallen into the trap of looking at games purely as a collection of mechanics. I would give both my legs for the chance to play this franchise for the first time again. No other game has moved me in such a way that mass effect has. It is just. Unbelievable. FOR the DLCs Add the game to origin via CD keys given by steam(you will get the cd keys for dlcs too) In origin verify the game at steam's folder (so you don't have to install it again) and install the dlcs from there I know that's troublesome but its EA. I love Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2 has to be my favorite one in the franchise. But GOOD LORD, EA really just doesn't care about their Steam playerbase! Honestly I can't believe they decided to increase the prices of Mass Effect games, especially since ME1 and ME2 sold on steam don't even include all of the DLCs. Compared to Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2 is equally as amazing. It lost a little bit of the RPG feeling, however, with the combat improvements, it makes up for it greatly. The cover system is a lot better and the skills are just a lot easier to use, especially when it comes to the squadmates. If you havent played the original Mass Effect, this game is still a must play. You wont be lost as to whats going on, as long as you check out the codex section on the in-game menu. I recommend the game--just not as a digital download. The buying options on Steam are misleading (I don't think this is Steam's fault, I believe it is more of an issue with how Bioware chose to package their content); Buying the "Digital Deluxe Edition" DOES NOT include ALL in-game content. Do NOT buy this game! This is NOT the full game! If you want to play the dlcs you HAVE to download it on Origin and PAY another 25 bucks to get the dlcs worth playing! Even the included "Cerberus Network" doesn't work with Steam, only with Origin. Great game and all but the Mass Effect 2 on steam does not have any DLCs for you get, you have to go to the Origin store to get them and even after buying the DLC the game actually is unable to find them so you have to manually port each DLC individually to your game.
