Cuphead

Game can be challenging, but that's the fun in it. Learning the patterns of the wide variety of bosses while advancing your skills. I feel it's better played in local co-op. Art design and audio are fantastic.

Difficulty works best when every defeat teaches you how to win Cuphead hooked me with its visual style and a high level of difficulty that, to me, almost always feels fair. Every boss seems impossible at first, but little by little I start recognizing patterns, timing my actions, and understanding what I am doing wrong. This has got to be one of the best creative ideas to implement in a game. Taking that 1930's art style and making it playable is wild. Mad stuff from MDHR

Cuphead is an absolute masterpiece of a game that took my peaceful, stable life and turned it into a screaming, controller-throwing warzone. The hand-drawn 1930s cartoons look so gorgeous and innocent until a giant onion starts crying literal hot tears and a giant frog turns into a slot machine of death just to beat the absolute soul out of your body. Trying to beat this co-op with a friend is the ultimate...
