+graphics +atmosphere +music -bad gameplay (too much of a walking slideshow to see if something changed) -obtuse puzzles -terrible achievements I wish you could actually move around in 3D like a walking sim but can't fault an old mobile port though. If it wasn't for the post game content with the real ending I would've given this a thumbs down but it makes up for it. The journal pages should've been...

Year walk was a game that caught my interest in the fact that it is folklore based and also a very cryptic puzzle which truly made you have to think, the artwork of the game is beautiful. Since playing the game it has sit in my mind lingering and still leaving me questioning and wanting to play more and more each time and I always seem to come back to it. LOVE this game deeply.

This game really frustrated me. They clearly care a lot about the source material but the actual gameplay felt very much like just scrolling around randomly until you notice something has changed. Solve a simple puzzle of some kind and then get jump-scared. I think part of the issue is that many of the interactions are really unintuitive and it's really easy to miss things. An aesthetic, fairytale-like horror puzzle game. The only con is that the storytelling is a bit unkind. Beautiful work.
