Fixes a problem which prevented Alucard from picking up and using secondary weapons. Save games are compatible so if you experienced this problem you should now be able to continue playing.

I remember playing the demo for this when it came out on the 3DS in 2012 and not being interested and I was more right than I knew. I very much enjoyed this. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did but I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's a simple metroidvania game with a cool story and a boss rush and hardcore mode once you clear the game. I definitely recommend it was very enjoyable!

In all honesty, this was pretty much one fun ride from start to finish. I´ve never experienced classic castlevania games before and after LoS1, I really wasn´t expecting that the sequel to that would be 2D title but, anyway. It was fun, can totally recommend! Even though i didn´t liked playing as Simon, the moment game went from Simon to Alucard I was instantly hooked and later playing as Trevor was fun as well....

Man. I have a love hate relationship with this series in terms of difficulty. “GeT gUd” smd. Really loved the game. Gabriel Belmont is dope. Must play if you’re playing or played the 1st and 2nd LOS games.

It's sad this reboot of the Castlevania franchise didn't work out, they have the basis for a great world, lore and story. But the main 2 games were behind their time in terms of graphics and gameplay. Either way, got this on sale, enjoyed it, I did play this after lords of shadow and I am planning on getting lords of shadow 2 to finish the trilogy, shame we probably won't get to see this story continue or franchise...

A great sequel AND prequel to lords of shadow 2 - this game is pretty much a NEED if you want to play lords of shadow 2. I found the gameplay to be easy but some bosses were a little hard! Even for a couple of bucks, I wouldn't recommend this. Usually in a Castlevania game, when you get a new skill it feels good to explore areas you couldn't before. In this, when I got a new skill the first thing that came to my mind was this: "Ugh, now I gotta go area X to use the skill Y." Everything is a chore in this game. Both exploration and combat are weak and seem like filler. Just buy the DS Castlevanias...
