Gameplay isn't bad, but that comes at the risk of a LOT of other issues. First: Micro-transactions. Cosmetics for characters are few and far between unless you wanna dish out close to $20 USD for a singular skin bundle. Second: Playerbase. This game is set up like a Free-to-Play, yet costs money to play. Player count is low. I wonder what could change that??? Fighting bots only goes so far. There's some good parts of this game, but not enough to recommend.

Wild Assault is a really good shooter, but the devs couldn't care less it feels like a blatant cash grab. The gunplay and movement are pretty solid, but the balancing leaves a lot to be desired. It's a shame about Season 7 it was supposed to bring players back, but not enough was done to actually generate real interest. Ultimately, the game will either die or go free-to-play. Man what a great game in early access and beta. It was such a wild concept and even though it had obvious flaws and plenty of cheese, it was very very fun. I haven't really touched the game since 2025 and i don't really plan to support this game anymore. The blatant AI use without disclosure really just kills the vibe, not to mention the addition of real money gacha mechanics. It's just lame. I had my fun.

the game is effectively dying off. player count numbers are far too low to have any real matches and even then matchmaking isn't very good. the balance can be so bad that a lot of times its just either steam rolling the other team or getting steam rolled. neither of which are any fun at all. when the game first launched it was a lot of fun, and the game could have been really good but it just fell flat on its face...

Once you get past the cheese, it's actually a pretty fun game. Just be warned that it desperately needs more players.
