What? Oh! Sorry. I thought I'd reviewed this a long time ago. 2015 was the best gaming year in recent times. Witcher 3, Kerbal Space Program, Rimworld, and more. Including Dirt Rally. It's very, very, good.

A decade on, DiRT Rally is still widely regarded as one of the finest rally simulations ever made — and it remains the title that redefined what the DiRT series (and Codemasters as a whole) could be after the more arcade-leaning DiRT 2/3/Showdown era. The Good The handling model is still the gold standard. DiRT Rally was Codemasters' deliberate pivot back toward hardcore simulation, and it shows in every stage....

uhh it has a great frame rate on steam deck. nothing else really needs to be said - it’s dirt rally. it’s good. probably play the second one but this runs better on deck.

it's hard, even with assists. not necessarily "sim" level, but definitely not for people who don't play many racing games yet still expect to win every race.

It's a great game, in fact it's my most played game. I've played it on a keyboard, then on a controller and finally on my first wheel. I used to hop on daily for events and (especially near the end of it's life) face one of the toughest rivals online for years now. It's such a shame that EA took the best part of this masterpiece away from us. I hope that someone will reverse engineer the architecture and make online...

This game is still Awesome even in 2026. Tarmac isn't the best, but on dirt its Sweeeeeet....AND it has Pikes Peak

Hard af, but quite satisfying when you stop totally sucking as you'll get to 3-5th place (best you can hope for without some pro sim racing gear and mad skills). You can't buy it anymore anyway because of corporate licensing bs, so this review is pointless.

Good aside for the AI being unmoveable in rallycross, fixed in dirt rally 2.0 though

Excellent. I really enjoyed my time with DiRT Rally. I was playing with a Thrustmaster T150 wheel and pedals.
