Didn't realize this was a Hololive thing until I got a "super-chat" item-- I'm not really into Vtubers. I just thought the octopus was cute. Seems to be a simple but effective dungeon-crawler. I didn't make it until the end but there's a variety of moves and items to use. The menu system took a little fiddling with to get used to but it's perfectly workable.

IMPORTANT: it wasn't obvious to me at first, but to use Set Skills, you need to press S and Z (for Set Skill I) or S and X (for Set Skill II). Submerged is a cute, not terribly difficult dungeon crawler. It's approachable and highly reminiscent of gameboy games of the early 2000s and provides a roguelite-adjacent experience in a unique way (primarily with the use of "books" where you can pick up skills from previous playthroughs. Been playing this game as a quick side-game for the last weeks, and been having a lot of fun, to the point I momentarily dropped the other bigger games I was playing to fully focus on this one because the last boss kicked my butt and we can’t have that. Regardless of if you know the origin of what the game is based on (which would be hololive), I feel like Submerged Mystery can stand on its own as a really fun game...

I don't understand this game. It gives you no instructions. The lack of instructions leads to a lack of knowledge that Skills even exist and can be used instead of basic attacks. I found that out by looking up a video of someone else playing. Elemental tiles are exclusively detrimental, yet so avoidable that it seems odd to have them except as a mental trap to the player. i still doesn't know where or what make me progress i mean use the roguelike system, yet i still improved my run so i guess it do the job. the game is cool and cute. i had to work, i got addicted all the end of day on it ah ah
