There is absolutely nothing wrong with platformers that make you want to smash something into your monitor or induce an incredible wish for self-torture. As long as you're the only one to blame this is all fine. But if you keep on dying because the controls are bad, then the game is not difficult or challenging or demanding, no sir, in that case the game is just simply bad. Give me Super Meat Boy or Electronic...

I would like to say firstly that I voted for this game on greenlight. I rather liked the art style, and I enjoy games like Electronic Super Joy, Stealth B-stard Deluxe and Dustforce. I honestly wanted to like this game, but after 30 mins of frustration I just cannot continue to play. The biggest problem that makes this game unplayable for me is buggy/unresponsive controls. Offering a relatively steep level of challenge and controlling terribly are not good bedfellows in any game. Yury has a couple of nice touches, but they’re nowhere near good enough to redeem what’s essentially a frustrating experience. I play a lot of hard as nail platformer games, electronic super joy, super meat boy, you name it, this is just another game trying to be like that but it fails in several aspects: 1. Any hard as nails platformer trys to keep you going by respawning you instantly or providing a method to instantly restart from the last saved checkpoint, this game does neither 2. No good soundtrack, what is this music? I guess it is...

Yury is more like a oldschool 2d platform game. It's not very special if you ask me. Feels, looks and plays like a game you would play from the '90 era. So that is someting I really like about this games. the game is extremely basic and for this time then maybe to basic. Yury sounds like one of those cool Old School Platformers that everyone used to play back in the day and love… however, you quickly find out that it butchers the Old School Platformers beyond repair. this mediocre-at-best bundle padder was completely and utterly unremarkable until the dev started harassing people who own it about their brand new NFT grift. it's going over about as well as you expect. scumbag move, scumbag devs, bad game. spend your $2 on scratch tickets, you'll probably do better.

I bought this game EXACTLY 1 year ago, I downloaded it right away and was about to play it since then but something was holding me back all the time. Yury is not game for everyone who doesn't like a hardcore difficult platformer games. At first time, I want to cry & become rage because of death so many times.
