just got done 100%'ing the game (had to do the gift ones illegitimately cuz the servers are down) and even with this game being part of my childhood, it was a drag to do since i dared to choose a race other than saiyan if you want to 100% this game, choose saiyan, get super saiyan (or variant), transform and spam ultimates through EVERYTHING because combos dont work on some enemies due to hyper armor, and other...

Really great game. I specify that this is my second game that i have ever completed and i have yet to play the sequel. Even through it is a good game the worst parts are the grinding and the tedious rng and the fact that xenoverse 2 exist and i know for a fact that it is an upgrade to the first one, but it doesn't affect me because i played this first. I think i would recommend this game if you didn't play the second...

I apologize to Xenoverse 2 for the bad review I gave it. This game is absolute doggy doo doo compared to XV2 (which I played first thankfully). Trash!

i love xenoverse a lot for sure but the first one leaves a bit to be desired. the main gripe i have with the first xenoverse is you have to clear story mode first before you can make other characters. if you want to expience the xenoverse story in a better way then play xenoverse 2, that is just my opinion tho. if your a completionist or live achivemtents on steam like me *ps i like the achivements more then play...

Very engaging into the dragon ball universe and multiverse. kinda felt like a fandom/fan-fiction at times. but love the entire game. hope to have this much fun with Xenoverse 2 and 3 (when 3 releases)

It is great if you know to do a good and cheesy build, otherwise it is very grindy. I had both incredibly fun and both insanely grindy moments due to crap builds. It is easy to learn, but hard to master since it seems simple and easy to learn, but there are mechanisms the game doesn't tell you so as a hint: you should study it

The game that started the Xenoverse hype for me. Its still the Dragonball Story but with a twist. The combat feels fluid and very enjoyable. Being part of the Dragonball Universe with your own Character was a feeling the first time i played which is unreached even till even today. I know it got better in DBX2 but still it startetd it all and did great for its time.

Overall, I recommend the base game on sale - given the title's age and dead multiplayer. The fighting is far more dynamic and intuitive than DBZ Kakarot. SSJ ki spamming on a custom character while following the story of the while show was fun. I can only hope Xenoverse 3 iterates on this game more than its successor.

an older title for sure but with a sale price of $1.99 if your trying to dragonball on a budget this is a very solid game
