Total War: SHOGUN 2

I have almost 1800 Hours on record at this point. The game is amazing even 9 years after it was released. Like a handful of games you can honestly say that about. Probably my favorite in the Total War series. It's worth it.

They decided to "update" the game with new DRM and a new "launcher (forced ads)" in 2023. Since then for some people (me included) the game no longer starts due to the finnicky new DRM which complains about Steam not running. There are no known fixes despite this issue being a year old. I would pirate this one if you want it functional.

Shogun 2 is the best of the Total War games, newer or older. Before S2, TW games are too graphically outdated and have too little polish. Ever since S2, all Total War games have done something which drives me crazy - they prevent armies from being broken down into smaller units without an expensive leader to be in command of the smaller unit. My Japanese history professor commended me for my extensive knowledge of feudal warfare and pronunciation of historical names. But he was annoyed when I kept yelling "A shamefur dispray!" whenever my classmates left the lecture hall to go to the restroom. 10/10

Better than most games, looks good for it's age, and isn't fantasy stuff like this warhammer garbage or whatever the current trend is
