This app was supposed to be a shiny distraction while fans waited for the real game to be released. Instead, it has become "a long wait for a train don't come." They got a bunch of us to donate to the game with promise of us donors to have a shiny town of our own with a statue of us in the game then bailed with our money quietly. It was a big train heist and the fact steam still has it up shows they support theft by frauds. They shut down secretly and are NOT producing firefly online. Our money should be refunded or they should be locked up.

The Firefly Online Cortex was a nice distraction, for a time. Intended as a companion app for the forthcoming release of Firefly Online. Update III: The servers appear to be offline indefinitely so you can't even get past the start menu or see the map of the verse anymore. I started playing this when it released and was super hyped! I mean, they got the entire cast to submit voice clips for the game! But alas, it was never meant to be... It's 2021 and this game just disappeared. No updates, no phone calls, no Dear John letter. So, even if your love for Firefly burns as bright as mine does... You're only setting yourself up for disappointment. Again.

This isn't a game, but it is a convenient hub for all things relating to the impending Firefly MMO.
