Controlling the egg to make tricky jumps over hazards can be hair-pulling at times and one could argue that because of that "the controls are terrible". But you're an egg that uses its rolling as momentum for speed to make long jumps, you don't exactly have the luxury of legs and feet. I was promised a "Simple Platformer." Instead I got a game that is really frustrating! It levels of frustration this game causes me reminds me of VVVVV. The controls are pretty strange as well, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change them. Okay let me break it down. You play as an egg. This egg in particular has a mustache. The goal is to reach the teleporter at the end of the level. It's hard as hell to move since you are an egg remember? You will die A LOT. Dark Souls ain't got nothing on this fancy egg. It's challenging, fun and annoying. I'm a little upset about the 1,543,363 tries it took me to beat the last level, but you know, hard work pays off! 11/10, would play 50 more times, pretty eggcellent!

The controls are terrible and not rebindable. The only options are music and sound volume. Also, if you have 360 pad plugged in it will force you to use that instead of keyboard, again no options. The controls are jump right, jump left and long jump, which requires holding down a second button while pushing jump and it feels like it just doesn't register jump boost sometimes. This is one of those masochistic platformers, except without the thing that makes them bearable (good controls!) What should be an eggcellent idea ends up being a pretty disappointing trudge through an extremely short and uninteresting game. To top it off, the devs added a "hard mode" which was just the default mode from the game's launch, but wiped progress so you had to play the entire game AGAIN for a second...

I appreciate the attempt to make a different, original platformer game, devs. But sorry, this just doesn't work. I can't think of anybody finding these controls enjoyable.
