As stated by the other reviews that are several months older than this one, the game doesn't install correctly. Pretty unbelievable. The game is short (about an hour long), but I don't count that against it. I actually rather like short games. The content within is what I take issue with. (The game does not launch properly when you launch it from Steam due to publisher incompetence that has apparently never been fixed after many years. In order to play the game, launch Game.exe in the game directory, not afterall2.exe. As a result, my playtime is reflective of the time I spent farming cards, not the time I spent playing the game.) I mean, it's a cheap & broken JRPG game made with RPG Maker. Only with that sentence you should know what to expect out of it.

Alright. First up, the game didn't install correctly. The "Play" button only launched an installer for the game and created a sub-folder that I had to run the executable within in order to play the game, so if you're thinking of buying this do be aware of that. I like the idea behind this short little game. But the shear number of random encounters that the game made me go through in the last castle made me want to claw my eyes out. They weren't even hard and were over in a few seconds each. There were just so damn many that I wasn't even enjoying myself.

Well, can't expect much for the price, right? For 1.09$ you'd think it couldn't be so bad, but the game was just a somewhat intersesting storywith the backdrop of oversimplified jrpg gameplay. I really don't understand. Why don't they release the game with RTP assets as usual? Why did they even edit it to be like this? It looks even worse than the default asset. I hope the developer understands that sometimes giving an edit to an asset isn't always getting better results.
