It is a broken remake piece of **** of a 5? year old game. Contrary to the gameplay video your timer counts down from a set number and when it reaches 0 you lose, good luck finishing a level where you have 2 minutes and the (old) youtube walkthrough takes 3:55. Even for the cheap price, there are better puzzle games out there. The interface is a bit clunky, and it doesn't run nearly as smoothly as it should, given how simple it is. On the plus side, it did provide for AHA moments on occasion when you solved a puzzle that had you stumped for a bit. Some of the puzzles pretty much require you to pause the game, though, since pausing doesn't stop the platforms from moving...

This review is going to focus more on the developer than on the game itself. I have been adding games to steam lately from older Indie Gala bundles and started noticing that I was getting duplicated keys for games from this developer. Dale Hardshovel HD is a good puzzle game. The controls are simple: you move the artifacts horizontaly with the mouse. You need to match the artifacts, in pairs of 2 or 3 artifacts, in the given time to be able to complete the level. Like many Unity games on Linux, this is clunky. The main problem is that mouse clicks often don't register. When timing is critical, such as getting a block onto one of the "elevator" platforms, that is fatal. I often have to make multiple attempts to get a block onto the moving lift, all while the timer is ticking down. This game may well work flawlessly under Windows, but don't sell it as Linux-compatible if it...

If you enjoy puzzle like games get it. Starts out easy enough so you learn the ropes of the game. As you progress more and more, the puzzles start to get challenging. Shouldnt be on steam feel like this would be a great IOS game

Dale Hardshovel HD is a pretty good puzzle game, needs bit more polish with graphics but the puzzles are very challenging which will keep you thinking. You only need a mouse to play this game and its very easy to manoeuvre the puzzles. Would recommend it to people who like puzzle games as it can keep you busy for hours on end.
