Even playing it for the first time in 2026, this game is special. Over the top acting, really fun to piece together mystery, and doesn't overstay its welcome. A fun long single sitting game, especially if you have a puzzle-oriented mind. Nothing prepared me for how satisfying the "a-HA" Jenks makes is.

Replayed this game after 8 or 9 years, a modern version of an Agatha Christie cozy. Some really excellent acting combined with low budget production values almost gave me vertigo at times. Some of the gameplay was tedious and a couple of the hints were downright wrong (e.g., Call the chief but the chief doesn't answer). Still, it was engaging enough to keep me through to the end, even caring enough to re-watch...

The acting is extremely delightful and a bit cheesy in a good way. It's been a while since I've played but I remember most of the titular contradictions you catch people on being pretty easy, yet satisfying. You can go and speak to other people so it wasn't often I felt stuck.

Incredibly charmed by just how much all actors seem to be into their roles, especially the one playing the main character. Their collective zeal is what really had me hooked. I wasn't a fan of how the game tried to swerve into the occult territory (not really my thing, I prefer realistic and entirely explicable mysteries), but I ended ul really satisfied with the final resolution. This was a blast to play.

A very short game, but I had a surprisingly good time with it. The actors are genuinely damn good, and the whole live-action setting works really well. I especially liked the atmosphere and the way the story is presented. The actual detective work is usually pretty straightforward, and most of the connections are not exactly rocket science.
