It's a good game, with a long list of qualifiers: - It's an older game without many modern amenities, and you will probably need to use a guide to complete. I basically failed it the first time I played through blind without a guide, and only came back years later to actually finish it (and used a guide in places). - There are some bugs (at least in the current English version...), one of which will stop you from...

In terms of overall quality, it's hard to say that this is a "good" game, as it is VERY rough around the edges. UI, translation, combat, balancing, controls, endgame/ post-game...pretty much every aspect of this game needs work.
