i just wish it had graphics, animation, characters, plot, story. anything! it feels like a gameplay demo or elevator pitch. not a finished game.

So good I decided to stop lurking and write my first review: that's how good it is. Woderfully written, an absolute narrative delight. So many options, characters, possibilities... I managed to complete the mission in my first playthrough, but even if I didn't, it would have been a wonderful experience, just being immersed in this story. 80 Days is many things; a CYOA, travelogue and adventure, but it is foremost based on the novel by Jules Verne. Mind you, player has full freedom in how you go about things since the game is open ended rather than some 1:1 recreation of Around the World in Eighty Days. Phileas Fogg has made a wager that he can travel around the world, as in start from and make it back to London, in 80 days. With half his fortune...

This is genuinely one of my favorite games that I've ever played. As you can see, I have a crazy amount of time in it and there are still scenes that I have not seen. There are so many different fun routes and people to meet and awesome steampunk inventions to discover. I am so in love with this world and absolutely recommend playing it. It runs perfectly, great simple graphics, and really fun mechanics.
