Steam Cloud Support

2026-05-27

As part of our ongoing efforts to celebrate and enhance the Square Enix back catalogue, we’re reviewing a number of classic titles to see where we can introduce modern quality of life improvements. One key focus has been retrofitting Steam Cloud support, allowing players to seamlessly carry their progress across multiple devices – including PC and Steam Deck. We recently rolled out Steam Cloud Support for Sleeping Dogs and Just Cause 3 with great success, and we’re pleased to share that this work has now been extended to Dungeon Siege, which is available today with full Steam Cloud support functionality. While this update currently applies to a select number of titles, we’re continuing to explore opportunities to expand these enhancements across more of the Square Enix catalogue over time.

I returned to Dungeon Siege after 20 years and finally decided to finish what I started. Playing it again was a nostalgic and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The relatively simple controls, linear progression, and beautifully crafted environments make this an incredibly relaxing game to play. It's the kind of game you can simply sit back and enjoy without having to overthink every decision – a great stress-relief...

She Dungeon on my Siege until my spellcasters get left behind. This might be one of the oddest games I've played. It feels like the odd bastard love child of Diablo II and Icewind Dale I. The combat mechanics and progression contain a blend of what one can expect from ARPGs while also having elements of RTWP that the infinity engine games contained. Other than that it has a few things that make it stand out....
