Amazing game. I decided to run a little experiment on my 10-year-old son: "if you launch a rocket into space, I'll give you $100" Three days later, he launched it Now I'm $100 poorer, but I have a great story and an awesome save file of a base built by someone who tried really, really hard. 10/10, would make questionable financial bets with my child again.

This is a game about OCD, ADHD, Creativity and Frustration. You start out on a planet inhabited by hostile creatures, But what do you care? You have a factory to build! As you unlock new buildings and upgrades you eventually end up on other planets, Some inhabited by hostile creatures, Some creatures who dont like factories etc. All great fun. This is the one game you wish you bought it when it released and regret you can't find anything better after playing. Just an amazing game that nobody has matched to it's appeal and scale. Such a marvel to gaming that I will be playing this for many years to come.

Incredibly addicting gameplay loop, definitely for those who love logistics. Played Satisfactory before I played this, and I definitely prefer this over Satisfactory.

Like how things work? Like building things? Like survival? Go play it. Otherwise skip it. This game is about building things that build other things. It's a blast, it's painful, it's rewarding, it's a timesink.

no contest, this is the single greatest factory/automation game in my opinion. game is incredibly optimised for performance without sacrificing player experience. its not for everyone though, certain people will enjoy factorio more than others.

Very rarely does one find a game that scratches that one itch. That kind of game that never gets boring, that one can replay endlessly and it still doesn't feel old, where you barely realise how much time has passed. For me, it's this game.
