Bought for the achievements. Genuinely enjoyed this story game and some of the endings were horrifically sad

There's just not much of it. The story has potential, but it didn't really go in depth in the game. I've finished the game and get all available endings (I think), and still didn't understand fully why Red need the revenge, so I'm left unsatisfied. Not worth the price, even on sale.

I personally think it should be free...not enough story or gameplay for the price. I think this game could have been really touching, if the characters, story, and everything else were given more detail and depth. It's not a bad concept, but it just feels like that: a concept, very underdeveloped.

This game turned out to be a huge disappointment. And if you never had anything to do with RPG Maker horrors and wonder why I could have big expectations (especially regarding the low price), I recommend you, dear reader, to try "The Witch's House", "Ib", "The Crooked Man" or "Mad Father" - all great, free RPG maker horror games that could easily compete with much bigger, commercial titles in terms of intriguing...

First and foremost I will say this: "Dear Red" had something going for it. it definitely had some potential to be a great game--look at the title art, it's amazing! A game with an interesting concept and nice art style. I enjoy the piano music in the background and the attention to detail in each frame. HOWEVER: I was very interested in this game because of the plot. It seemed mysterious and alluring. This is not the case. In the first 5 seconds everything is revealed to you. *May contain spoilers, not much* A short game about a girl trying to get revenge on the one who killed her mother, but whether she will choose to kill, or to forgive and forget depends on your choices. Ok game and nice simple style. It is very short. I think it get bugged for me and stay open after I stop playing because I have many hours in this game but I only played maybe one hour full.
