CompareSpace Codex is a casual retro arcade minimal awesome top-down shooter featuring waves of enemy spaceships with different attacks in what is, literally, a bullet hell. To beat them, you will have power-up options available through the map. The game only gets harder. How long can you stay alive?

So, now the game has achievements. However, the overlay of the achievement unlocked might stick on the screen until you alt + tab. I'm already looking for a fix for this. Let me know if you are facing this problem as well. Soon as everything is fine, I'll add more achievements (for example: Get X score on Dark Mode, kill X monsters, and so on).

Game Summary: The simple way to summarize this game is that it's a classic arcade space shooter, to the extent your objective is to obtain a high score. Space Codex - Something, something, waste of space..? Coming up for any kind of title for Space Codex review was hard because the game is just nothing really. Space Codex is a top down old school shoot 'em up in space, quite similar to Asteroids and the game alike. Unfrotunately Space Codex is just nothing new, interesting or great. It's just something you have in your Steam library. Space Codex works rather nice....

This game is amazing. From the gameplay to the lore, this game is for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The lore is extremely rich and deep and it will keep you invested. I recommend this to anyone.

A neat little arcade shooter great for killing a bit of time and an easy perfect for your collection. Definitely worth it for just a buck!

Asteroid-like game with a few different spaceships and powerups, with catchy music. Does not have Windowed mode, players cannot switch to other applications on the foreground. For the price is a decent game, though I would wait for a sale. 5/10, would be 7/10 without the issue above.

Space Codex is just the game for those who enjoy the old-school top-down shooter and bullet hell arcade games. The game comes with instructions, in a 3 spaceships to choose from, and a "dark mode" before you jump right into the game play. Space Codex is a really fun little arcade game with cool neon vibes. A word of advice to those struggling with the high score achievements - you can shoot everything, and I mean everything. I've had several runs with each of the ships, and found the second ship to be the best for my playstyle. It's slow compared to the others, but it obliterates all who stand in its way muhahaha. This is the most boring twin stick shooter I've played. The music is pretty neat and visually the game is alright but the gameplay is just bad. The movement is slow, the shooting is slow. The enemies are just spawning outside of bounds and slowly creeping toward the player.
