As per usual I give these games a total time of 4 hours to give my honest opinion on what I think about it. The police Quest games are very interesting games from Sierra, they seemed to be very polished games and with the quite serious tone. The first, third, and fourth game were all similar when it comes to controls. The second game, was very awkward as it was more like a type adventure game. Which is cool, but...

Games all suck. Can't even Flock your ex girlfriend or stalk their new boyfriend. Nothing like real policing. Dumb. Avoid.

Buy it on GOG, not Steam! As it stands, the Steam version is a lazy, dated & abandoned DosBox port. The GOG versions running on ScummVM are much improved. However if you must get them on Steam, do yourself a favor and replace DosBox with the latest version of ScummVM and run them on OpenGL with better scaling, the option to use better audio such and Tandy/PCJr for the first game and Adlib & Roland MT-32 for the...

Nice that they included the map from PQ3, but not the rest of the manual which you need to look up codes for the game. Yes you can search and find it on the web, but why is it not included in the collection that I paid for? What a blast from the past! I bought it immediately, and have been going on patrols since. The only negative comment I have is that The Gazette (part of game documentation) is missing, or I didn't know where to find it. No worries, though...it's available online. 10/10 would shower with naked cop again.

Police Quest 1 was my first real graphical adventure game. I used to play those textual adventures on my Commodore 64 before that (you know, games with little or no graphics at all and everything was simply described by a wall of text). PQ1 was like a first real love, the kind you meet in later years of elementary school so I guess that makes those C64 adventures - kindergarten girls :) Anyway, I cannot be objective...

For a game so old, this is actually still quite playable and not too bad. Even though the UI and gameplay are clunky/dated, the point and click nature of the game makes it age a lot better. There is quite a bit to explore as well, with the game bundling the first 4 games together. If you are interested in this classic, give it a shot especially when it is on sale.
