its an ok remaster. although i feel if they were going to go through the efort they should have done a bit more to upgrade the expirence. i still feel ptde is better and any visual mod will out preform this

Out of the three Dark Souls games, I think this one is my least favourite, but that doesn't mean that I dislike it at all or I think it's bad. The gameplay is pretty jank, the bosses are clunky and there are several fights or levels I actively dread doing. Time has not done this game favors, but I would say it is a testament to how each FromSoft Soulsbourne has improved on the last. It's a bit of a rough play in 2026, but I still think it is a classic game and warrants a playthrough for anyone who says they are a fan of Souls.
