Good game, I really enjoy the design, has some bugs though. Specifically there is a bug where dying in the desert in the entrance to the second power up causes you to reset that section without giving you back the needed flame. Essentially requiring you to reset your game to progress further.

In a genre that has been filled with such innovative and creative minds that create masterpieces (some of which are my favorite games to this day), it's becoming increasingly hard to bring innovative and fresh entries. Cannot recommend for the shear volume of game breaking bugs, all involving the "lamp". I've restarted this game from scratch 4 times only to find, yet another instance of "lamp" breaking bug (not about to restart the game for a 5th time) - and I also noticed that the achievements are not unlocking, even though I've completed the requirement for either "flames" or abilities. Night Lights is not a bad game per se. The different levels are actually pretty fun to figure out. The main issue is that the game has a buggy saving system, which can lead to game-breaking bugs that force you to start over, as it only has a single autosave. Great concept, been keen to play this ever since I saw Jacksepticeye and Markiplier play the demos on their channels. Love the puzzle solving, at times was quite difficult and genuinely surprised me a few times. Definitely felt satisfied when I got those puzzles. I mean...I did finish this game. It was short and sweet, but it's nothing special. Play it if you get it on sale and just want to kill 2 hours, but you're not missing anything special if you skip this one.
