A fun shoot'em / bullet hell game up. The colors seem a bit aggressive at first, but you quickly get used to it. It is hard, fast and punishing. Perfect for some quick action and frustration-screaming.

Already quite an improvement over the first Project Starship (released less than a year earlier), it has no roguelite elements. The story is very simple but the atmosphere is more serious and grim, with the pilot being related to one of the original characters, apparently it runs in the family to fight eldritch gods on starships. There is still a button to cause a slowdown but it's nowhere as marked as in PS....

This is a an above average, budget-priced bullet hell game that could be great with just a few tweaks. I've only beaten the first three bosses and played for less than an hour upon writing this review, so my opinion may change over time. First, the balance. The laser is ridiculously over-powered. Or perhaps, rather, the other weapons are under-powered compared to the laser. It takes mere seconds to beat a boss with...

Shoot'em up where everything is represented in 4-colors palette. Bullets might be hard to distinguish from the background. Controls are ok, hold down button for precision movement. Grab stars to fill up overcharge gauge but before using it, player usually got hit. Each stage ends with a boss. Bullet pattern is just same thing over and over again. Music is boring. Bad game.

A cheap, simple-looking bullet hell SHMUP that will prove difficult for people like me who don't ordinarily play such games. But I want to get good at SHMUPs! They are the most primal digital games of all, and as I do love digital games, I can and will make an effort to get sort of okay at them! Did you know that every bit of text in this game is written as if it should be yelled in a Cockney accent!? With an...

Vertical bullet hell with a minimalistic theme. Responsive controls. Intricate bullet patterns. Focus and overload mechanics. Stylized retro aesthetic and audio. Simple and to the point. Listed on the Shoot 'em up Database

Sigh...what a disappointment. The trailer looks promising, with a unique color palette aesthetic and interesting enemy sprites. The gameplay seemed to mix old-school arcade shooters with modern bullet hell titles. While Red Death does offer gameplay like that, it's incredibly shallow. Enemy design is limited, bullet patterns are predictable, the framerate drops to a chug every few seconds, the music is dull and...

It's not just your regular bullet hell - it's THE bullet hell. 1st level is almost impossible to pass for average player (not too friendly with this type of game). 1st boss - even tougher. I'm afraid to think what comes next. Nice 4-color-atari-style, nice music and authentic sound effects - that's what completes full picture. Brace yourself those who dare enter!

Shallow arcade shooter with repetitive bullet patterns, poor writing, and overall disappointment.
