Hi, good news. This summer, we will release a new version of DPS, fast, convenient, with lighting/shading, and an improved UI. Although there is still a lot of work ahead - almost all the main features are already working. Here is a full-size screenshot.

Great way to make maps for tabletop games to disburse via discord, or export to your favorite VTT to actually play on top of. Loads of options with the base kit, and steam workshop expands it even further.

Abandoned in a half finished state with broken tools and constant errors and crashes. devs just went off to work on 2.0 and forgot about steam users.

Abandonware; showed promise before but I would not buy. Recommend Illwinter's Floorplan Generator, far better.

I can't really recommend this. Even though it's a great tool it's unifinished and abandoned. I've used this so much throughout the years on so many different campaings and had a GREAT time with it. It's easy to use, it's integrated with the workshop so intalling new asset packs is easy and i've never encountered any bugs. It's a really cheap alternative to other mapmaking tools but it's age shows too much. Were DPS...

This is abandonware. I have used it off and on for years because I already own it, and it (mostly) functions, but has quite a few bugs and inconsistencies. You are better off paying the extra $5 to get Dungeondraft, a program that does everything this one can and more, with a team of real Devs who do bugfixing and the like. Good for making both dungeon maps and outdoor maps. I have used for a campaign running since 2020. I wish there were a wider selection of objects even if you had to pay for them. You can import objects with some extra work.

It's fine, I can't hard recommend it because its a little backwards in how basic functions work. Like if you undo something it also undos your tool. When you try to exit, its the opposite selection you'd instinctivly think it is. Searching for things is kinda a pain because it changes based on what tool you've selected and reset the library. But it generally works.

Sadly, as with the other reviews I got this very early on. It was wonderful and has some issues with some features not working right. However restarting the program and loading the saved file seems to fix it usually. With some small technical issues, the program hasn't been updated in over 5 years, really seems like it was abandoned. I'm sad because this had real potential but it seems to be lost and given up on...
