Compelling story and highly cInematic for its time, but it does suffer from having the kind of obtuse puzzles that plagued the point & click genre in that era. There are plenty of both modern and classic games, that would be a better use of your time. Still recommended, but keep a walkthrough at hand to avoid the inevitable frustration that will hit you at some point.

It is not a beginner adventure game but atmospheraically dense. While slightly boring at times it is still worth playing and a must for LucasArts fans. It dereives however heavily from the typical humour found in other adventure gemes from this company. The Dig is rather serious and humour mostly on dry-as-a-vodka-martini-side.

Fun and challenging, such a throwback. I really enjoy every playthrough. The story is so good, the puzzles are fun, the dialogue is witty... If you like a retro game, don't sleep on it!

Awesome story, really should have a been a TV Series or a movie. Masterpiece for it's time and well worth your time now.

I don't know how much there is to this game, as it never explained anything to make it past the first screen of the 3 characters hovering in space. there are no instructions or directions or controls. I have no idea what's going on.

Spielberg bankrolled a sci-fi adventure game in 1995 because apparently that's what genius filmmakers do when they get bored, and somehow LucasArts made something genuinely worth playing out of it. An extremely mid-90s Lucas/Spielberg joint. It builds on previous point-and-click adventure game styles but manages to have its own unique atmosphere. Unless you want to spend a lot of time being very frustrated, I highly recommend this walkthrough. One of my favorite things is the Ralph Bakshi style animation in the cutscenes.
