MetaMorph: Dungeon Creatures

I cannot tell if this game is broken or just poorly done. There is very little in the way of sound, none of the combat is at all satisfying. Feels like a cheap mobile game poorly ported to Steam. Got this in the Jingle Jam and am glad I didn't pay for it directly.

Definitely an early access game. The gameplay itself is completely fine (although a little weird at first), and the artwork is great (for the most part). But everything else falls short whether it be music, sound effects, or graphics. It all just needs some polish to it (and for music needs any at all). Has potential, but right now it's just boring to play.

Game is most definitely fun, but more like a "very advance project" than an actual game. Unfinished, buggy. Very clearly way underway in development but basically an abandonware. Concept and gameplay are most definitely enjoyable for the first few levels and further ones do keep adding some spice. Hard for me to recommend, but might be worth a try at least.

Truth in reviewing: I was a late addition to the beta team and got a copy for free. I've enjoyed my time with MetaMorph. It's a good, solid dungeon crawler with some fine carnage and tight, well-paced levels. Runs really well for an Early Access game, looks okay and the fundamental gameplay seems interesting. The problem I have with the game is that it is a bit slow and the combat lacks the satisfaction of some other games out there.
