I honestly don't like this kind of dialogue-heavy game. Even in the dozens of RPGs I've played, I rarely paid that much attention to dialogue. Partly because some games subject you to endless walls of text, and partly because, when it comes to role-playing, the characters I create tend to have this attitude of, "Something happened in the world? Cool. Not my problem." But Disco Elysium... Wow. Just wow. Good...

Simply put, it's an interactive novel with TONS of reading/listening! Skip this if you can't tolerate this for 30+ hours. Rating: 7/10 I won't be spoiling anything. The gameplay feels a little weird at first, but the storytelling is what kept me going. As I became more familiar with the gameplay, I started enjoying it more and more. I’m really glad I stuck with it and made it all the way to the end. What an amazing game. PS The tribunal scene is epic and unforgettable

Definitely a unique game with lots of lore, characters and reflections on mankind. Lots of dialogues and texts and minor roleplay. Only thing I disliked is the possibility to get softlocked in many advanced parts of the game. Maybe I am wrong but I think only starting the game all over or reloading all the saves to get prepared for these checks is the only solutions. Pirate the game btw, the original developers...

Beautiful art, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ design. Developers do not respect your time. If you like story and like ♥♥♥♥ gameplay, go for it. Bad autosaves make me redo mundane tasks over and over again. The gameplay itself is slow and annoying with an art style that makes it hard to understand where you can and cannot go and what you can or cannot interact with. Put on the indicator if you want. You'll still be waving your mouse around...

The best - and I think maybe the only - game of its kind. The atmosphere, characters, dialogue/narration, soundtrack, and story are all absolutely masterfully crafted to the point where I found myself, and still sometimes do find myself becoming emotionally moved when I come across references to the game in other places, especially its music. Wyjątkowo... ludzka gra. Total art w mojej opinii. Miałem jedno podejście chyba z dwa lata wcześniej, niestety nie pamiętam już dlaczego, ale nie dokończyłem, jakieś sprawy życiowe i po 2 tygodniach rozłąki z tą historią, z tym klimatem, po prostu nie miałem ochoty wracać, wiedziałem że muszę wrócić gotów na rozpoczęcie od nowa. I played a ton of games and never felt the need to write a review for one before. I just decided to write this one while reminiscing about how perfect this game was. I love everything about this game truly a 10/10. It's like nothing I ever played. Don't buy it though.
